Just went for the second time yesterday and it was as good as the first time.

We arrived tired and hungry at 3 PM and were treated to the $7.99 day's special. Hoping it would include fish we like, we were pleased that we had a choice of grouper, halibut, tilapia, swordfish and a few others i can't remember, with preparation choices of grilled, fried, blackened and sauteed in butter.  I got halibut fried and it was sweet, dense and delicious and not at all greasy: hub got sauteed swordfish and was transported in time to his Mom making it on Friday nights.  The day's special included a soft drink or bottle of water, a side (cole slaw was delicious; his fries were not too great), fresh lemon slices and friendly staff.

When leaving I was trying to decide between the salmon and Mom's Best Fish spread and one of the counter help gave me a taste of hers (she was having a snack) so I went with the salmon-delicious.  Hollow pretzel dipping sticks are perfect with it.  Will try the fish spread next time.  When I said we were headed to the beach, they volunteered to put the spread in a bag of ice that they then double bagged.  It arrived home safety.

Will go here every time I am near Deerfield Beach!

Amazingly fresh seafood, whether you get their lunch specials or buy to cook at home. The only downside (besides not having much seating room) are the prices. While you'd expect the non-local seafood to be a bit marked up, I wish the local catch was more reasonably priced.

My daughter took me here for lunch and it was truly amazing although it's not a real restaurant, you can pick from what they have and pay by the pound they will prepare it for you and you can eat it right there as we did. There is a table that seats 4 or 5 with an assortment of condiments. The seafood is some of the best I had here in south Florida. We had the Halibut, Grouper, and the Jumbo Shrimp all deep fried. I am coming back for sure !

The cleanest, freshest and fastest seafood store we've ever been in, bar none. We've shopped here a number of times and have found plenty of great looking and tasting seafood selections and accompaniments to choose from, without the seafood or bleach smell sometimes found elsewhere. In fact, if you were blindfolded relying solely on your nose, you wouldn't know you were in a seafood market. If you are buying your seafood from the grocery store and have not tried this store, I would highly recommend you do yourself a favor and stop in. There is no comparison in the seafood here and the seafood at the grocery store. It's always a pleasure to find a small business that does it far better than the big boys do, and this little place definitely does what it does exceptionally well.

It's been a couple of months since we ordered from here...  Today I decided to try the Shrimp with Chips.  As you can see (one more star is added from my previous review) it was a good lunch.

I usually get tired of the taste of shrimp but this time I ate each one that was on my plate.  I prefer to eat the shrimp with the tartar sauce, rather than the cocktail sauce, but with Pop's you won't have to choose.  They include both and a generous portion of fries.  All this for less than $10.

Fresh food, Good flavor, Good Quick Service ...  Can't go wrong.

Got some great Maine mussels and lobster last week. Dinner with my daughter. Pops is the best local place for the freshest seafood. My weekly habit. Staff is as great as the quality of food.

Pop's fish is outstanding. They take the time to help you select what you want, package it so it is ready to use, and coach you regarding preparations! I have made ceviche, gefilte fish, and gumbo all by asking them for direction. They truly could not be more knowledgable and kind.

What a cool place!   As we walked in we thought that we had time warped back to the 1950's fresh fish market.   They have a wide array of fresh fish for sale and plenty of staff to help customers.   Their prices seemed high but reasonable considering the quality and diversity of fish for sale.  They  really don't have a place to sit down and eat - just a couple of chairs in a corner.  Their only offer a few cooked meals.  We ordered the Fish & Chips (snapper) and a Tuna Blackened Taco. It took 10 minutes to get our meal but both orders were ample and so good.   We plan to eat at least one meal here every time we're in the area.

Excellent quality, perfect place to grab a bite before hitting the beach.

Pop's is a fish market with a particular focus on local seafood. All of their fish is marked with its place of origin and with a few exceptions, the majority of it is from within the US. The staff is awesome (and sometimes wearing waders), the fish is fresh, and they offer a handful of takeout options. Best fish and chips ever--crunchy outside and fish that tasted like fish, not some unidentifiable substance inside. One caveat: the food service is sort of an afterthought, so you're eating it from a takeout container surrounded by produce. Next time I'm getting conch fritters and a slice of key lime pie.

Pop's is the only real fishmarket around. Superfresh seafood, great soups and dips.Never a wait. Great staff. I am there at least once a week.
